So I am one of the 57 artists that were selected for the 45th Greater Hamilton Art Exhibition.
181 works by 115 artists were entered. Only 73 of those works by 57 artists were selected.
Both of mine got in for some odd reason.
This show was open to artists residing within 50 miles of Hamilton, Ohio (USA)
and runs from April 10th - June 2nd 2011
buy this sucker! You have until June 2, 2011
So far this guy has lived on 2 different back porches... and now a gallery wall.
they are not actually a set... but i guess they still look ok next to each other.
I got paid tacos to make a banner!
a couple of my friends started a blog about their lives together.
and i got to make this for it.

here is the latest organicMess sample. i was not to sure about my choice of colors at first, but they are growing on me. and the onces i select to print up will be getting recolored anyway.
(or at least that is the plan)
i am hoping to work this little guy into a pattern as well.
hopefully i will be able to post that fun tomorrow.

this was hand drawn on cardboard and colored with sharpies.
it hangs well above light switches and most urinals.
my math skills are terrible...
I am planning on making an entire series out of this.

I was asked to make the programs for my Grandmothers funeral.
I decided that I wanted to include an illustrated element to the program
and this is where that landed me:
My mother thought it looked a little sharp or harsh for the occasion though, so I took the butt-munch to the barber and came back with this:
(which she liked much better)
This is what the final element ended up looking like:
and then it was just a matter of adding the wanted text in to get the final cover:
I think overall this is the better program covers that I have made to date
(especially on a limited timeframe).
I think it is interesting how my work has been evolving for the better lately.
With any luck this will continue.
I miss my grandparents.
