SuperWhat? (pt5)
I reset again.
i am finally happy with how this attempt turned out, which is good because i will be hanging it at the Greenwich Gallery in Cincinnati tomorrow. From the start I wanted to make something I would want to hang up and I think I achieved that finally.
I will post a photo of the completed piece once it is hung.

SuperWhat (pt4)
hilarity ensues
I would say this is my elementary interpretation of what was in my head... and overall a complete failure (on a lot of different levels). the below image shortly followed.
(i titled this: skidmarks in the sky... but it is so nice outside)
I felt much better about the whole project at this point.
I actually picked up a pen and paper at this point to really think out my next attempt...
but it was late, and i stopped caring a bit too much.
I am planning on getting reworking the background again tonight into another point to start fresh from.
Here is a rough sketch of what I have in mind:
It has evolved once again.
I am thinking with fire.
SuperWhat? (pt3)
There was a lot of reworking between picture 2 and 3. I basically scrapped the entire face besides the mouth at the end of the night. I am going for more Green Hornet and less Robin - Boy Wonder at this point with the face maskery.
... I am also planning on lightening the skin up (a bunch), the purplish tinge makes him look like some sort of cartoon vampire. which is not what i am going for at all.
I am currently debating hair color.
repiecing a shattered dragon
I made this ceramic guy about a year ago,
only to have him only break into a multitude of pieces shortly after.
Since then those pieces have been collecting dust.
I am currently working on gluing him back together and then painting him
(which was my original plan from the start).
More pictures to come as things progress.
superWhat? (pt1)
i was recently invited by some friends to partake in a super hero themed art show.
i had been thinking about getting back into painting for some time now
(a media i have not dabbled in since college).
So i bought a 48x36 inch canvas and picked a vigilantism based theme.
below is my progress so far:
Personally, i do not think this is a good representation of what the final piece will look like (besides maybe the background). But i have been itching to post something for awhile now, and did not want to wait till it was completely done to do so.
Needless to say part2 will have the more detailed conclusion. (so stay tuned)
